I’m Clarissa Harris. Nice to meet you.

I’m a qualified PR professional with over 10 years of experience in communications. I work with clients from all walks of life: sole traders, partnerships and established brands. Whether they are just starting up or have been operating for years. I’m available for 1:1 mentoring sessions, programs and speaking engagements.

After working in various corporate roles, I co-founded boutique communications agency True Tribe in 2015. Alongside my talented team, I have worked with over 300 (and counting) brands, big and small, across a variety of industries including hospitality, food & drink, tourism, government, not-for-profit, fashion, beauty and wellbeing.

chchats was launched as a personal brand and private consultancy following a natural progression into mentoring in 2020. This new direction saw me shortlisted as a 2021 B&T 30 Under 30 Entrepreneur Finalist. As I am still with True Tribe, my services are available on a limited basis. If you would like to chat more, please get in touch here.

On a more personal note…

I live in Melbourne with my husband Tim, son Zephyr and staffy Scout. I love cooking up a feast, unwinding with a good book, enjoying endless cups of tea, pottering around the garden, practicing pilates, hosting family and friends and spending time outdoors.

I grew up eldest of three to parents from immensely differing backgrounds; my father is Sri Lankan and my mother is Russian. I thrived being raised in such a diverse community filled with many unique cultural experiences, and built resilience by overcoming conflicts like racism and self-doubt from a very young age.

Like most migrant families, my parents worked around the clock to provide the best for us. I saw first hand what the result of hard work and bravery looks like. Since then, I was determined to pursue my own professional journey and now look forward to empowering others with theirs.
